Zhikrah Afolake Aduke Akanbi

Zhikrah is a versatile business woman, author, a good social-mixer, an active member of Women In Management, Business and Public Office, WIMBIZ, a member Nigeria British Chamber of Commerce, Nigerian American Chamber of Commerce, member of the Tourism and Hospitality committee of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LCCI, and an alumnus of Lagos Business School, LBS.

Though bred in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Zhikrah Folake (née Abdul) is from Akokoland in Ondo State. Raised by business-oriented parents, young Zhikrah has always liked entrepreneurship from childhood. It took her few years to resign from her ‘juicy’ banking job to start travel and tourism business 23 years ago.

Divine Wisdom for Happiness - The Birth

Divine Wisdom for happiness was birthed in the year 2006, by Mrs Zhikrah A. Afolake Akanbi, CEO of Libragold Group. After an illness which would usually claim lives, but due to the timely and divine intervention of the Almighty Allah, coupled with her strong faith in the healing powers of Allah, the life of Mrs Zhikrah Akanbi was speared and healed of this ailment.

During the cause of the sickness which lasted eight months, she read her English Quran religiously and picked interest in reading. She read a lot of Islamic books authored by seasoned Islamic scholars. She read as if her life and healing depended on the amount of knowledge she could acquire. It was during this period she picked interest in writing. She promised her God that if she can be granted permanent healing, she would publicize the beauty in Islam and she would engage much in charity by sharing knowledge and applying divine wisdom to living a pious life of peace and happiness. Hence, the Quran and Hadith quotes, which she broadcasted then as ‘Keeping Faith with Allah’.

After a couple of years, she decided to go motivational and inspirational applying Quran and Hadith quotes to daily living. ‘Islam, is a complete way of life. Islam brings inner peace, if only you know’, In the words of Mrs Akanbi. With this resolve, even with her very busy business schedule, the Divine Wisdom for Happiness, evolved, for Monday and Friday inspiration. Added to it, is Ramadan Diet for the 30 days of Ramadan and Ramadan nightly prayers.

  50. My coder is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress on numerous websites for about a year and am concerned about switching to another platform. I have heard great things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into it? Any help would be really appreciated!
