Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“whatever good you send forth for your soul you shall indeed find with Allah, better and greater in reward.” Al-Muzzammil – Q73:20, reminds those who, because their past experience with someone was painful, are now afraid of being taken advantage of that, fear and dread can make us supersensitive to everything people say and do to the extent that we start misinterpreting their motives and end up seeing everything about them and even about others, in a negative light.
In other words, we easily become suspicious of everyone.
So let the knowledge that:
1) Doing good to others is being useful and profitable to them and to yourself;
2) It is for their spiritual good as well as ours; and
3) A day will come when we’ll have to give account of ourselves before God;
Teach you, rather than hurt others in return or avoid them altogether, to look for ways to bless others!
Pray with me: O Allah! I beseech You to inspire me with the wonderful deeds of the Prophet (s.a.w) to make my life more beautiful and impactful today and forever. Amin!
