Divine Wisdom: The passage, “When you have performed the act of worship, remember Allah, standing, sitting and reclining…” Surah An-Nisaa – QN4:103, reminds us that, Glorifying God day and night is not just an order, but remembering His greatness When we eat anything, we see a beautiful plant or flower, or animal, or sunsets, we must glorify God. When we achieve successes and victories, we must reflect on God’s goodness to us and reach out to uplift others, as we are to do His work and be His hands and feet in whatever position we find ourselves. So that God may remember us with His support and blessings always.
In other words, by continually offering up sacrifices of praise and giving thanks to Our God Almighty, we can worship Him anywhere and honour Him through people.
So let the knowledge that:
1) The Lord our God is our boss and though our tasks may change, our essential job remains constant;
2) He constantly reviews our progress and always meets us at our points of need; and
3) Each time we share words of encouragement, give of our resources to help those in need or make professional decisions based on integrity, we honour Him;
Teach you, as we step into Hijrah 1443, to let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your God in Heaven and so you can reflect and say “Which of the favours of my God, can I deny?”
Pray with me: O Allah! I thank You for the gift of life and for having me under Your favour and mercy always. As we step into this new year, I pray for a new season of strong faith, divine peace and guidance layered with Your goodness, upon me and my family, by Your mercy. Amin!
