Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“Hire him! For the best man that you can hire is the strong, skilled and the trustworthy.” Surah Al-Qasas – QN28:26, reminds us that if you are dedicated and trustworthy in our work, someone somewhere will always admire and recommend you for greater opportunities; and just like the man who started work as a labourer in an organization, but because he threw himself whole heartedly into his work, was continually tasked with higher responsibilities until he became the Vice President of a major manufacturing company, if we excel in our work we will stand, before kings.
In other words, if we are good at what we do, we will be in demand and admired, and we will never have to take a back seat to anyone.
So let the knowledge that:
1) Even when we are unaware, our character, our work ethic and our attitude, speak for us;
2) When we win the respect and admiration of our superiors because of our thoroughness and trustworthiness, we will be recommended for higher responsibilities; and
3) We will be rewarded for the tasks we complete as well as our attitude and the way in which we complete them;
Teach you, as we begin this new week, to recommit to being prompt and diligent in your work and you’ll see that the sky will be your starting point. Ma Shaa Allah!
Pray with me: O Allah! Forgive me my sins, blot out from me any iniquities, Pour down on me constancy in all my affairs. Help me to improve on my mental attitude towards my tasks and ease my tasks for me, that I may achieve the highest success You have prepare for me by Your Grace. Amin!
