FOR MANY OF US, THE SIN THAT SO EASILY TRIPS US UP, IS PRIDE!

Divine Wisdom: The passage, “And seek the abode of the Hereafter with the wealth that Allah has given you,…and do favours to others the way Allah has favoured you” Surah Al-Qasas – QN28:77, reminds us of the kind of surrender that can be difficult for those people [a.k.a Achievers] who love nothing better than to overcome challenges and perform for others, who inspire and move people to action and enjoy being in front of crowds, but devoid of a chance to develop and shine, tend to lose their motivation. 

In other words, while they have the ability to accomplish great things and enrich the lives of others, achievers can easily become preoccupied with their own image and success. 

So let the knowledge that:
1) Unredeemed achievers can turn what looks like serving God into serving themselves;
2) They are more likely to measure success in terms of applause and recognition; and
3) For many of us, the sin that so easily trips us up, is pride;
Teach you, this new week, to have a rethink and replan, that in all you do, to be humble and always consider the interest of others!

Pray with me: O Allah! Cause Your face to continue to shine upon me and my household that we may walk in Your presence to fulfill Your promise for us, Amin.
