Divine Wisdom: The passage, “Are those who know and those who do not know alike? Only the men of understanding are mindful.”QN39:9, reminds us of the Hadith “Seeking knowledge is a duty upon every Muslim”; in other words, those of us who, because we feel pressured into getting a job, often fail to see the value of investing time and resources in gaining additional knowledge that will add value to our personality. We may be fortunate enough to get promoted beyond our level of competence, but if our knowledge doesn’t keep up with our position, we’re doomed to fail.
In other words, gainful knowledge, wisdom and insight are worth far more than money in the bank and far better than a big salary.
So let the knowledge that:
1) Band-Aid remedies never last;
2) As a writer so aptly stated, ‘Stupid is forever; ignorance can be fixed’; and
3) Thomas Edison who is America’s greatest inventor, failed many times, but his eventual success came from preparation and years of gainful knowledge and wisdom;
Teach you that one of the things you must overcome on your way to success is ignorance!
Pray with me: O Allah! I seek refuge with You from the knowledge that is of no benefit, from a supplication that is not heard, from a heart that does not fear You and from a soul that is not satisfied. Ya Allah! benefit me by that which you have taught me, and teach me that which will benefit me, and guide me by Your power to achieve greater successes in every area of my life. Amin!
Good morning and have a splendid week ahead!
