Divine Wisdom: The passage, “If you are grateful, I will surely increase you in favour…” Surah Ibrahim – QN14:7, reminds those of us who tend to wait until it’s too late before reaching a point where we finally acknowledge that God controls everything and are no longer bashful about asking Him to step in and do what we’ve always known He’s capable of doing.
In other words, despite the global economic confusion, our finances are areas in which we can and should have an interactive relationship with God.
So let the knowledge that:
1) God is neither opposed to us having money nor having much of it:
2) He increases us so we can give even more to those in need and blesses us so we can keep on being generous; and
3) It makes sense to position ourselves to receive His direct intervention as soon and as often as possible;
Teach you this month of Rajab, to alight from the train of fantasy or depression and ask God to get involved in your affairs for a greater you.
Pray with me: O Allah! Forgive me, have mercy on me and my household, guide us aright, increase us in the abundance of Your blessings and grant us useful sustenance as pleases You. Amin thunmo Amin!
