Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“Patiently, then, persevere – for the Promise of Allah is true” QN40:55, reminds those who having waited patiently for what to them seems like ages to see God’s promises for their lives come to pass and are now having issues because, time is far spent and humanly speaking, they no longer see how it will happen that, when God makes a promise, it is like a seed which must first fall into fertile soil and be given adequate time to grow. Thereafter, it must be watered regularly through prayer, the Word of God and good deeds.
In other words, if we stand on His Word and keep reminding ourselves of His promises, our lives will not come to an end before they come to pass.
So let the knowledge that:
1) God does things on His own schedule and nothing the enemy does can pre-empt His plans for our lives;
2) Those who come to Him must believe, deep in their hearts that, He is a rewarder; and
3) He will keep testing us to reveal our strengths and see whether they hold up or fall apart under pressure, as in QN2:155-157;
Teach you, even in the face of mounting difficulties, and as we thank God it’s Friday, to keep the faith and in His time, all will be well!
Pray with me: O Allah! I seek You for my wisdom and my understanding, even though I think that my own ways are right, but You weigh my heart and You know my intentions. O Allah, help me to live righteously with You, set apart from the world and teach me patience, by Your Mercy.
Good morning. Jumah Mubarak and a happy weekend ahead!
