Divine Wisdom: The passage, “And so many a living creature carries not its own provision! Allah provides for it and for you.” Surah Al-Ankaboot – QN29:60, reminds us that, if the reason we want more is to be able to, ‘keep up with the Joneses’, or brag about what we own as in – QN4:37; then we SHOULD NOT expect God to bless our plans for He opposes the proud – QN31:18 but shows favour to the humble, for whom everything they have is a gift and everything they will ever need comes from Him – QN28:77
In other words, He gives seeds to Sowers, not Hoarders and when sowed to fulfil His purposes, He multiplies them – QN2:261;264.
So let the knowledge that:
1) God is able to bless us abundantly, so that in all things and at all times, having all that we need, we will abound in every good work – QN5:48;
2) When we have freely scattered our gifts to the needy, our righteousness will endure forever, we will be enriched in every way and we can be generous on every occasion; and
3) What we believe about Him and our resources will determine what we believe Him for;
Teach you, this new week, before asking Him for more, to always ensure that your heart’s motive is right by Him to impact others with what He’s set to give us!
Pray with me: O Allah! The Al-Knowing, The Wise, Ar-Razaq, You are The Provider, please order my steps and bless the works of my hands, and enrich me with the grace to act according to Your will. Help me enrich others with the resources You have blessed me with in Knowledge, Wisdom, gentleness, word of mouth, and finances. So help me God by Your mercy.
