Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“And none has with him any favour for reward, Except those seeking to fulfil the purpose of his Lord Most High. He verily will be content.”QN92:19-21, remind us that, just as pets (dogs, cats etc) who have limited comprehension of spoken human language because their capacity to understand a creature of far greater intellect is restricted, study our movements, facial expressions, hand gestures and other body languages, we who have limited understanding of our Lord The All-Wise, should also do the same.
In other words, His Word through which He reveals Himself is where our pursuit of knowledge about Him should begin.
So let the knowledge that:
1) The way to “seek the face” of One who is far our superior is to study His Word on a regular basis;
2) Behind His works are His ways and beyond the Words are other ways to seek His face; and
3) We should learn from His interventions in our lives and those of fellow believers, and pay attention to His ways as His Spirit moves upon our hearts;
Teach you, even as Covid-19 has forced us to stay at home, to use this opportunity to get up close to Him, and strive to become a student of The All-Knowing Master!
Pray with me: O Allah! I come to You repentant of all my ways that are contrary to Your words. We know that what’s happening right now, is Your work and Your way of telling us that You Alone is worthy to be worshipped, The beginning and The end. Please help us remove this plague called Coronavirus and every seen and unseen object that may cause a hindrance to live in Your words and doing Your will in our lives. We come to You in repentance O Allah! Forgive our sins and grant us the grace to do what’s right and walk in Your words all the days of our lives, by Your Mercy.
