Divine Wisdom: “I will help you with a thousand of the angels following one another in succession” QN8:9, reminds those who may be dismayed or even afraid when threatened with a difficult situation, because they don’t think their God is big enough for the job that, if we truly know that the battle is the Lord’s who is yet to lose one, sees what is done in secret and rewards us accordingly, and that we never have to depend on our own resources, we will boldly face anything.
In other words, because His grace is sufficient and His promises unchangeable, and “If God helps you, none can overcome you….” QN3:160, hence we have absolutely nothing to fear.
So let the knowledge that:
1) How we handle life depends on how big we believe God is;
2) If we think He is too small, we will live in constant anxiety thinking everything depends on us and our outlook will be dictated by our surroundings or worse still, our critics; and
3) Thereafter, we will offer prayer without faith, work without passion, serve without joy and suffer without hope;
Teach you, this new week, that no matter how challenging the task before you, to always step out in faith knowing your God is more than enough for the job and capable of getting us out of any situation!
