Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“Exalt your Lord with praises before the rising of the sun and before its setting; and Exalt Him and meditate on His word (The Quran) during periods of the night and at the ends of the day, that you may be satisfied.” Surah Taa-Haa – QN20:130, reminds us that, His word and message is eternal and universal, transcending our differences in race, colour, ethnicity and nationality. His word provides guidance on every facet of human life; from economics and the ethics of trade to marriage, divorce, parenting, gender issues and inheritance. Hence, as we meditate on the Word of God we develop a mindset that enables us to rise above our fears and when that happens, our lives begin to change for the better.
In other words, if we follow the law to meditate on His word day and night, His Word accomplishes His purposes in our lives and rather than find time for it, we just have to make it happen.
So let the knowledge that:
1) In a world often devoid of commitment, God promises to never give up on us;
2) He keeps working on us until we become clear in our perceptions, strong in our faith and balanced in our spiritual walk; and
3) As we meditate on His precepts, we start moving in a new direction and our lives begin to prosper;
Teach you, starting today, to meditate regularly on His Word “… for extra credit, that your Lord may raise you to an honourable rank.” Surah Al-Israa – QN17:79
Pray with me: O Allah! Embellish me with the spirit of faith, help me to feed on Your word daily, that I may walk in Your directions as You lead me in achieving Your promises and purpose for my life. Amin!
Good morning. Jumah Mufeedah and a great weekend ahead!
