Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“…. and seek help with patient perseverance and prayer” Surah Al-Baqara – QN2:153, reminds us of how, as we get older, we tend to become more patient, even though we have less time left and things that once upset us no longer do because we have lived long enough to know that God’s grace is sufficient for us and once we realise that they are no big deals which in reality is the truth, we find it easy to join those who say they have been there, seen everything and done it all.
In other words, while our problems have not changed that much, our perspectives have.
So let the knowledge that:
1) Patience develops strength of character and helps us to trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady;
2) When that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well; and
3) In retrospect, we always see that each time others meant evil against us, He used them for good;
Teach you, instead of fretting and complaining, which doesn’t work and steals our joy, to let Him develop your patience!
Pray with me: O Allah! I acknowledge Your favours upon me. Help me develop more patience and trust in You as my sole Helper. I ask that You May continue to shine Your face upon me and my household that we may dwell in Your love and mercy forever. Amin!
Good morning. Jumah Mubarak and a wonderful weekend!
