Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“They plot and plan, and Allah too plans; but the best of planners is Allah” Surah Al-Anfaal – QN8:30, reminds us of a fairytale story told of a clock that spent a great deal of time worrying about its future and reasoning that it had to tick twice each second, amounting to 63,072,000 times every year until it calculated that in a ten-year period it would have to tick 630,720,000 times, at which point it collapsed with a nervous breakdown.
In other words, we should learn to cast the whole of our cares once and for all on Him, who cares for us affectionately and about us watchfully, cos “The command of Allah is coming, so be not impatient for it.” Surah An-Nahl – QN16:1
So let the knowledge that:
1) Psychologists reckon that about 95 per cent of all we worry about never happens;
2) Of the other 5 per cent, Four out of five times things turn out better than we anticipated, including a lot of outright blessings; and
3) In the end, only one per cent of all the bad we thought might happen actually does and of this, it is rarely as bad as we feared;
Teach you, starting today, the last Friday in the month of January, if the year has not started the way you have anticipated, never again be obsessed over the future, cos the promise of Your Lord will surely come to pass!
Pray with me: O Allah! I commit all my fears, my anxieties to You. Please help me in all my affairs that I may achieve all my heart desires according to Your plans for me. Amin!
Good morning. Jumah Kareem and a relaxing weekend ahead!
