Divine Wisdom: The passage, “Repel evil with good, And he who is your enemy will become your dearest friend.” Sura Fussilat – Q41:33-34, reminds those who are quick to respond in like manner when people mistreat them that, because God always gives His best to everyone with no exception, the least that is expected of us as His Servants, when people treat us badly is to live generously and graciously towards others.
In other words, it is no longer an acceptable principle that “the recompense of evil is punishment like it”, “but whoever forgives and amend, shall have his reward from Allah” Surah Ash-Shura – Q42:40.
So let the knowledge that:
1) If all we do is love the lovable, we won’t qualify for a bonus;
2) If we simply say hello to those who greet us, we shouldn’t expect a medal; and
3) The way to show our true and God-created selves, is to respond with the energies of prayer;
Teach you to let your enemies bring out the best in you!
