Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“do not make us bear a burden for which we have no strength.” Surah Al-Baqara – QN2:286, reminds those who are burdened about someone they love and efforts to help have failed that, rather than stop caring, letting go just means we can no longer do it for them and instead of cutting ourselves off, we finally coming to a realisation that we are not the cause of the problem and can neither cure nor control it.
In other words, it is about caring, instead of ‘caretaking’, being supportive without trying to fix others; and allowing them to be who they were created to be. In essence, influencing through right characters can do the work and that’s the only means for peace of mind.
So let the knowledge that:
1) Letting go, instead of criticising and trying to regulate others, simply means we have learnt to focus on the purpose to which God called us;
2) It is about finally having the wisdom to recognise that we can only change ourselves; and
3) Instead of looking back with regret on the past, we should focus on growing and living for the future;
Teach you, this new week, instead of trying to adjust everything to your own desire, to focus on yourself and how you can bring out the best of every member of your team, then take each day as it comes and cherish each moment!
Pray with me: O Allah! Please do not hold us accountable, if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not place on us such a burden as You have placed on those before us. Our Lord, do not make us bear a burden for which we have no strength. And pardon us, and grant us forgiveness, and have mercy on us. You are our Lord. So then help us against the disbelieving people and grant us success in all our affairs, by Your Mercy. Amin!
Good morning and have a most fruitful week!
