Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“Never will you attain the good reward until you spend in the way of Allah from that which you love” QN3:92, and we are enjoined to “compete in all that is good” QN5:48, and for this reason “Allah loves only the doers of good” QN2:195; In the real sense, the power of loving and respecting one another is embedded in always treating each other with a certain level of empathy and love; understand the innate human need for friendship and companionship and joy in sharing affection and mercy; always strive towards helping others with the end goal of doing everything we can to try and receive the love of Allah; and If we should do as He loves, we will all be blessed.
In other words, just as love cannot be manifested in isolation, we must try to give and share whatever we may have, in keeping our duty towards living in a healthy and ethical society with respect and love for one another as family.
So let the knowledge that:
1) Love, which has been put in our hearts, is not active until we give it away;
2) We must love one another as part of a wider family of humankind and through His love in our hearts, we can serve one another; and
3) If God’s love is within us, our relationships and workplace can become a sacred place where His presence blesses our mundane, day-to-day routines;
Teach you, still in the spirit of The Holy Month, to allow love flow from within freely as we continue the spirit the impacting and to bless someone each day!
Pray with me: O Allah! As we mark the end of another Ramadan, we pray that the unique teachings and experience of the Holy month, will remain with us and make us stronger in your faith, wiser in the ways of the world, more tolerant of each other, highly spirited in impacting and even more committed to the unity of our great Nation.
