MOST OF OUR PROBLEMS COME FROM OUR INABILITY TO SIT STILL LONG ENOUGH TO REFLECT AND RECHARGE!

Divine Wisdom: The passage, “Remember the name of your Lord in the morning and evening. And worship Him a portion of the night. And glorify Him through the livelong night”. QN76:25-26, reminds us to recognise the fact that prayer is a great stress reliever and if we begin our day with it, take time to pray even as we go through the day and ensuring we end each day with prayer, while also regularly making out time to talk to God in the middle of the night, telling Him what is on our mind, and allowing Him talk to us through His Word as we read the Quran; the pharmaceutical industry would go broke because we wouldn’t need a fraction of the tranquillizers they market.

In other words, prayer is the greatest stress-reliever and we should make it our daily habit.

So let the knowledge that:
1) God says, ‘Observe five daily prayers from early morning till evening’ and ‘remember me through the livelong night” and surely ‘He will remember us” QN2:152, but sadly many of us are just too busy running after nothing in particular;
2) Time alone with Him can be a major decompression chamber for life’s stresses; and
3) Most of our problems come from our inability to sit still long enough in vigil at a time when impression is keener and speech more certain;
Teach you, to start each morning with prayer, stop regularly throughout the day to observe salat and still stay up the better part of the night to recharge your spiritual batteries as this is the most conducive period for reflection and self-development.

Pray with me: O Allah! I ask of You the good of the day, its success and aid and it’s Nur and Blessings and seek guidance and seek refuge from the evil in it this day and from the evil of that which is to come later.

Good morning. Jumah Mubarak and a lovely weekend!
