ONE VALUABLE LESSON ABOUT FACING TOUGH TIMES IS THAT, COMPROMISE REPRESENTS A FAR GREATER RISK THAN COURAGE!

Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“let him observe his duty to Allah his Lord. Hide not testimony. He who hides it, verily his heart is sinful.” QN2:283 reminds us that, just as an American student found out after he was arrested along with others by the Iraqi government early in the 1970s on trumped-up charges of espionage, he refused to confess that he was a spy in order to be let free, came close to breaking, but did not and was eventually released only to find afterwards that, every other prisoner who had confessed was hanged in the public square.

In other words, for refusing to compromise the truth and admit to a lie, he was the only survivor.

So let the knowledge that:
1) One valuable lesson about facing tough times is that compromise represents a far greater risk than courage;
2) It is always right to do right, it is never wrong to do right and it is never right to do wrong; and
3) Whatever happens, we should refuse to compromise our character and our convictions;
Teach you, even as we observe our first week in shutdown, you should remain open to stand by the Word, and with the assurance that it is well and Allah is everywhere all around you, keep right on walking. It is well!

Pray with me: O Allah! Forgive us of our sins. Draw our hearts closer to You that we may abide by Your words. Remove calamities and catastrophe away from us, likewise epidemics. Grant us relief and abundance or Your grace this trial period, by Your Mercy.

Good morning. Have a spirit-lifting week!
