Divine Wisdom: The passage, “Seek help with patient perseverance and prayer, for God is with those who patiently persevere.” Surah Al-Baqara – QN2:153, reminds us that, The testing of our faith produces perseverance, but we should not fear, for God has promised us, He has summoned us to faith, we are His and when we pass through the waters, He will be with us, when we pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over us and as we go through turbulent times, we shall not be consumed. Ma Shaa Allah!
In other words, He is faithful. He will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear – QN2:286, and even if we are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that we can endure it – QN63:2-3.
So let the knowledge that:
1) Perseverance develops our faith and when the process is complete, God will end the trial – QN94:5;
2) It keeps us going when friends fail us, discouragement whispers, ‘Give up,’ and doubt says, ‘It cannot be done’; and
3) “Seek Allah’s help with patient perseverance and prayer. It is indeed hard except for those who are humble.” QN2:45
Teach you, when you are blamed, slandered or dishonoured, to keep your cool, station your face and thoughts on God, keep on persevering because all what you are currently passing through will be more than worth it in the end!
Pray with me: O Allah! I come to you with a repentant mind, please forgive my shortcomings. Manifest Your promises upon me and my offsprings, and wipe away all that troubles my mind, that I may continue to give You all the glory, O Merciful Lord!
