So when the Quran is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy.QN7:204
That is the focal point of ‘candles to light your path’…. ‘Pay attention that you may receive mercy’. Paying attention as described in various verses in the Quran encompasses every day living to achieve utmost result in everything and every area of your life; mercy, blessing, success, victory….. and according to Author John Freeman, “Attention is one of the most valuable modern resources. If we waste it on frivolous communication we will have nothing left when we really need it”, and that’s because ‘distractions’ drain our energy, blur our focus, and disrupt our momentum thereby depleting our resources and destroying our relationships, which in turn results in failed projects, the collapse of companies and damaged relationships.
So to ensure you don’t get to the end of your life only to look back and discover you forfeited things which were truly significant, to make way for things that added nothing of value, keep the verse “…and when they hear His signs rehearsed, find their Faith strengthened, and put all their trust in their Lord” QN8:2, at heart;
and as we progress through the Ramadan, make commitment to serve the Lord with all your strength and all your might!
Pray with me: Our Lord! I thank You for loving me and always being with me. Help me to understand Your love more so that I can know You better. Let Your love flow through me, Your Glory shine upon me and my household, so that people can see Your goodness and come to know You as Lord and Saviour.
Good morning. Jumah Mufeedah and Ramadan Kareem!!!
