THE FACT THAT OUR BRAINS ARE STILL MATURING, MEANS WE CAN STILL IMPROVE IN OUR THINKING!

Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“God does not change the condition of a people unless they change what is in their hearts.” Surah AR-Ra’d – QN13:11 reminds us that our minds can either work for or against us. When it works for us, it helps us to stay positive, reach our goals, and enjoy each day, but when it works against us, it can make us negative and discouraged, hold us back and cause us to think thoughts that result in self-sabotage, which is why we should teach them to work for us by learning to think positively, in terms of faith and not fear. When our thoughts are right, Our Lord will lead us to work righteousness, and He will “give us a new life, a life that is good and pure” Surah An-Nahl – QN16:97

In other words, the fact that our brains are still maturing, means we can still improve in our thinking.

So let the knowledge that:
1) As Dr Caroline Leaf, a cognitive neuroscientist, points out, the brain takes eighteen years to grow, and a lifetime to mature;
2) While every organ in our bodies was fully formed when we were born and got bigger as our bodies grew, our brains actually take a full twenty-five years to become fully grown; and
3) Once they are fully formed, they continue to mature until the day we die;
Teach you, this New Month, no matter how old we are, to avoid getting stuck in old or wrong thought patterns, stay positive in Faith as we strategize for a happy and successful future!

Pray with me: O Allah, I commit myself to You Alone. Help me to stay positive on Your words. Open the doors of Istijabah, answer all my supplications and grant all my heart desires that I may Glorify Your Name all the days of my life. Amin.
