Divine Wisdom: The passage in Suratul Faatiha, “… it is You we ask for help. Guide us on the Straight Path…”QN1:5-6, reminds those who tend to get impatient when it comes to God’s will for their lives that, what matters most to God, rather than the journey, is what we become on the way to where we are going and because He wants to work in us and through us on the way there, a great deal of time usually elapses between when He calls us and when we get to fulfil His will for our lives, and until we accept that, we are not ready to go anywhere.
In other words, if we are in the process of seeking His will right now, we are already fulfilling part of it in our lives.
So let the knowledge that:
1) God uses the journey to teach us faith, refine our character and equip us for greater challenges that lie ahead;
2) Following Him in obedience through many unknowns, trials and difficulties is an integral and indispensable part of our preparation; and
3) The journey may be uncomfortable, but it is an important and necessary part of the process;
Teach you, at Jumah today and even as we journey to the end of the year, to ask for Grace to keep right on walking!
Pray with me: O Allah! Please grant me peace of mind and calm my troubled heart. Give me the strength and clarity of mind to find my purpose and walk the path you’ve laid out for me. I trust your Love God and know that you will heal my distress. Just as the sun rises each day against the dark of night, by Your Mercy.
Good morning. Jumah Mubarak and Happy weekend!
