Divine Wisdom: The passage, “… I am indeed near, I answer the prayer of the supplicant when he calls on me, so they should answer My call and believe in Me.” QN2:186 reminds us that, expecting God to answer our prayer requests when we either haven’t made any or didn’t make it in faith, is like walking into a restaurant and asking if our order is ready when we didn’t place any.

In other words, God wants to be good to us but first, we must ask and our request must be in harmony with His will.

So instead of fretting, talking about it to everybody but God or taking matters into your own hands, let the knowledge that:
1) The Lord is good to those who wait expectantly for Him;
2) Expectant prayer demonstrates confidence in God’s goodness; and
3) It gives Him great happiness to give us the benefits of His Kingdom;
Teach you this bright Monday morning to first give thanks and thereafter, hand over all your endeavours this new week to God in prayer!

Pray with me: O Allah! O Alive and Everlasting One, I beseech You by Your Mercy to grant me health with faith, faith with good conduct, success followed by further success, mercy and healing, and Your forgiveness and Your satisfaction in all my affairs. Amin!
