Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“Do you not see that Allah has made what is in the heavens and what is in the earth subservient to you, and made complete to you His favours outwardly and inwardly?” Surah Luqman – QN31:20, reminds us that, Our lives are a continuous succession of God’s gifts. Hence, the word enthusiasm which loosely means, ‘possessed by or inspired by God’, and unless we maintain our enthusiasm, life can wear us down, jobs that once challenged us could become monotonous, relationships that once excited us could grow stale and daily walks with God that once inspired us could start to feel like we are just going through the motions.
In other words, the Muslim life should be one in which we arrive at the finish line, used up and totally fulfilled.
So let the knowledge that:
1) The best argument for us as a people are Muslims who constantly exhibit joy, certainty and completeness;
2) The favours Allah bestows on us throughout life, if used according to the divine instructions, will bring us to material and moral perfection and will ensure happiness in this life and in the afterlife; and
3) In the same way that He lifted Yunus (a.s) out of a pit of despair, put his feet on solid ground and gave him a new meaning, God is ready to do the same for us – QN5:16;
Teach you, if indeed you want to enjoy the favours of Allah forever and pass it down to your generation, to show enthusiasm for life while constantly seeking daily infusions of His Word and Spirit!

Guide us on the straight path, The path of those whom You have favoured; Not the path of those who earn Your anger nor of those who go astray.” Amin!
