Divine Wisdom: The passage, “Those who depend on guidance from their Lord, These are the successful.” Surah Baqara – QN2:5, reminds those of us who dream of one day becoming great at something and despite all attempts at making a success of it, keep experiencing setbacks, that it might be that we need to give up certain attributes or actions, shift grounds, learn to focus one thing at a time, keep faith in Allah and pursue our goals through His guidance.
In other words, we should learn to switch focus as often times as we receive guidance from The Almighty.
So let the knowledge that:
1) Our God is the one who gives us the power to be successful and with Him, age is never an issue;
2) He can give us success at the beginning, in the middle or at the very end of our lives; and
3) The steady, undissipated attention to one object at a time, is the sure mark of a genius at work;
Teach you, in order to grasp that which you will succeed at, to be willing to let go of everything else!
Pray with me: O Allah! Help me to trust you with my decisions and my future. Let me lean on You with all my heart instead of relying on my own imperfect understanding. Ya Rabb! Give me clear guidance in my life, as I submit myself to you, I know that you will direct my paths and I can have confidence that your direction is always the best way to go. Amin.
