Divine Wisdom: The passage, “When My servants ask you about Me, then tell them that ‘I am indeed near…’” Surah Al-Baqara – QN2:186, reminds us that, acknowledging that we are not God is important because, when we fail to obey Him, consult Him, or recognise His timing, we succeed in removing Him from our lives and end up trying to take His place, which just never works; but if we seek to know Him, ask Him to reveal His will, then we should ‘be still’ and acknowledge that indeed, He is in charge and knows what He is doing.
In other words, to make progress in this life, we should be busy doing what He leads us to do without running ahead of Him.
So let the knowledge that:
1) The strength of a man consists in finding out the way God is going, and going that way;
2) Activity born out of anxiety actually prevents Him from showing Himself strong on our behalf; and
3) According to QN6:67 – “everything has its appointed time to be fulfilled”. Hence, The vision is for an appointed time and though it tarries, we should learn to wait for it;
Teach you this new week, to plan along with God’s grace and favour, and not to allow those ‘type A’ Personalities to stampede you into getting ahead of God or attempting to forge ahead under your own steam!
