Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.” QN55:56 reminds us that we should seek not to please ourselves or others, but Him who has created us. In other words, those who love to blame their stress and obligations on other people, have certainly lost their focus. Once we lose sight of who we are trying to please, we will always cave in to three things: ‘Criticism’, because we are overly concerned about what others think of us; ‘Competition’, because we are afraid somebody will get ahead of us; and ‘Conflict’, because we are threatened by anyone who disagrees with us.
So, with an understanding that “in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest!” QN13:28, we should constantly seek His pleasure in all we do. Otherwise, each time we feel pressured, it is because we are choosing to let others put us there.
So let the knowledge that:
1) By focusing on God’s will, we simplify our lives and will always do the things that please Him, regardless of what anybody else thinks;
2) When we seek first, His pleasure and His righteousness, all the things that we are stressed out over, shall be added unto us freely and stress-free; and
3) There are few things in life, other than our jobs, that we are under obligation to do-constant worship in remembrance of our creator;
Teach you, each time you feel pressured, to know it is because you choose to be overwhelmed by outside demands!
Pray with me: O Allah! I rededicate my life to You to worship you wholeheartedly and constantly seek Your face, Your pleasure because I hold on to Your words in QN2:152 “If I remember You, You will remember me” I pray for permanent goodness in my life by Your Mercy.
Good morning and have a great week!
