Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“If you should love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Surah Al-Eimran – QN3:31, reminds those of us who are thinking we do not have much of a future because we have blown it too often and God can no longer be pleased with us that, those are lies and we do not have to live condemned when we make mistakes for though we may not have been as spiritual as we should be and may even not have worked hard enough, we are His work-in-progress and He will never give up on us.
In other words, the breastplate of His approval covers our heart, the centre of our being, the way we think and the way we feel about ourselves.
So let the knowledge that:
1) Like everyone else, we have probably made our own fair share of mistakes;
2) We cannot change the past and if we live in guilt today because of yesterday, we will not have the strength to live in victory; and
3) There is a time to repent and a time to shake it off and press forward;
Teach you, this festive season even as we approach the new year, to never allow anyone to walk through your mind with their dirty feet, but instead, walk in faith and keep all hopes alive!
Pray with me: My Lord, I ask You for the goodness of this day and goodness all the days of my life. I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and subsequent days, guide me from laziness, grant me the wisdom and understanding to live a fulfilling life and perfect Your favour upon me and my household. Amin!
Good morning. Jumah Mubarak and a fun filled weekend ahead!
