Divine Wisdom: The passage, “And it is He who has made you successors upon the earth and has raised some of you above others in degrees of rank…” QN6:165, reminds us that, for a Visionary Leader to succeed, he must be willing to train and carry people along; and even though we may speak one common language, we still speak in different forms and tend to have different measures for successes. So for a group of experts to be able to communicate effectively, the visionary must be willing to become the cheerleader, holding the vision out before everyone over the entire lifetime of the implementation stage, while constantly reminding them of why they are doing what they are doing.
In other words, to function successfully as a team, we must be ready “to help one another” QN5:2, each individual needs to be trained in understanding the function of the others.
So let the knowledge that:
1) There are different “measurables” for each individual, which allows them to consider themselves as successes in their particular role;
2) ‘Visionaries’ cannot lead without this understanding, ‘process persons’ cannot serve or lead without it and ‘task persons’ definitely can’t serve without it; and
3) The key lies in placing the right gift in the right role, communicating its value to the entire team, and constantly supporting it privately and publicly;
Teach you this new week, each time you think of members of your team, to be more open to communicating rightly and correctly, and then give thanks to the Almighty.
Pray with me: Our Lord, thank You for loving me unconditionally and for making me who I am. Help me to see the good in things. Help me to be happy with who I am. Lead me down the path You have set for me and Guide me in the way that I get to show the world my gifts, by Your Mercy and favour.
