“Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear.” Surah Al-Baqara – QN2:286, is a Prayer we have to be conscious of, and which reminds us of pilots of the first hot air balloon to cross the Atlantic Ocean who, when they started to lose altitude off the coast of Ireland because ice from a heavy cloud had covered the balloon’s outer shell, threw virtually everything overboard until finally, they broke through into sunlight, the ice melted and the great balloon soared all the way into France.

2) Often, they are legitimate and include things like pressures, habits, obligations, schedules and entanglements; and
3) We may need to face each one squarely and ask ourselves if God or someone else give them to us, or if we just decided on our own to pick them up and burden ourself with such;
Teach you, as we wind down today, to stop and take an inventory of that which you are carrying that’s a stumbling block, and Thank God it’s Friday!
Pray with me: O Allah! Condemn me not if I forget or fall into error; But help me not to overburden myself with issues and actions not pleasing to You. Our Lord! Lay not on me a burden Like that which You did lay on those before me. Our Lord! Lay not on me a burden greater than I have the strength to bear. Blot out my sins, and grant me forgiveness. Have mercy on me, for You are my Protector. Amin.
