Divine Wisdom: The passage, “Never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change it themselves within there own souls“ Surah Ar’Raad – QN13:11, reminds those who keep placing blame on others that, because all blame is a waste of time and regardless of how much fault we find, it will not change things and we will never reach the place of honest responsibility which is where real change begins. Moreover, God cannot restore us until we acknowledge and turn away from our sins, and rather than excuse our sin because of someone else’s behaviour, He repays us as our actions deserve.
In other words, to walk in His blessing, we must stop making excuses and take responsibility for our lives.
So let the knowledge that:
1) The only thing blame does is keep the focus off us when we are looking for reasons to explain our unhappiness or frustration;
2) Knowing the truth will set us free and it may make us uncomfortable at first, but in the end, it truly liberates us; and
3) Hiding from it does not make it go away and until we are willing to face our mistakes, we will keep having problems;
Teach you, if you want to get honest with God, to ask for help and correct those things in your life that are out of order!
Pray with me: O Allah! Help me to correct my ways that are not in line with Your commandments. Renew my heart today as I seek refuge in Your forgiveness and acceptance of my repentance. Make my ways and my plans align with Your plans for me for a healthy, wealthy and happy living, by Your mercy, O Most Gracious Most Compassionate!
