WE ARE CALLED, NOT ACCORDING TO OUR TALENTS, BUT ACCORDING TO GOD’S PURPOSE FOR OUR LIVES!

Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“By no means! My Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me!” QN26:62, reminds us that, like Prophet Musa (a.s) who was always waiting on God’s commands to direct him on the purpose for which he was called upon; there is a big difference between talent and purpose, and because talent, like justice, is blind, it sees all opportunities the same, when we are talented but not called, we can be comfortable anywhere, but when we are aware of our God-given purposes and they govern our lives, there are things we simply will not do because we know they will derail, dilute or defeat God’s purpose for us.

In other words, for things to work out right for us in life, we need to discover our God-ordained purposes and give ourselves fully to them.

So let the knowledge that:
1) We are called, not according to our talents, but according to God’s purpose for our lives;
2) As we are asking Him to bless what we are doing, we should also ask Him to reveal His purposes for our lives; and
3) Once we discover and fulfill that, we will be blessed beyond measure, because His plans are already blessed;
Teach you, if perchance you are yet to discover God’s purpose for your life, to Thank God it’s Friday, get into His presence today and stay there until He reveals it to you!

Prayer with me: O Allah! I come to Your presence with all sincerity to direct my path according to Your purpose for me, for You Alone is enough for me and You are The Best Disposer of affairs.

Good morning. Jumah Mufeedah and a Blessed Weekend!
