Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“So when you are free from one task, still labor harder and to your Lord turn all your attention“ QN94:7-8, reminds us that, like the man who started work as a labourer in an organization, but because he threw wholeheartedly into his work, he was continually tasked with higher responsibilities until he became the Vice President of a major manufacturing company, if we excel in our work we will stand out and stand before kings.
In other words, if we are good at what we do, we will always be in demand and admired and, we will never have to take a back seat to anyone.
So let the knowledge that:
1) Whether we realise it or not, our character, our work ethic and our attitude, are being observed and means a lot to achieve greatness;
2) When we win the respect and admiration of our superiors and are applauded for our thoroughness and trustworthiness, we will be recommended for higher responsibilities; and
3) We will be rewarded, not only according to the tasks we complete but for our attitude and the way in which we complete them;
Teach you, this new week to reposition yourself and recommit to being diligent in your work to achieve a greater you!
Pray with me: O Allah! Thank You for the gift of another day. I pray for strength and divine Favour in helping me through my daily tasks that I may perpetually stand out and excel beyond my imagination, by Your Mercy.
