Divine Wisdom: The passage,
“… give good news to the patient ones, who, when a misfortune befalls them, say: ‘Surely we are Allah’s and to Him we shall surely return’ Those are they on whom are blessings and mercy from their Lord” Surah Al-Baqara – QN2:155-157, reminds those of us who happen to find ourselves today at a place where things that once ran smoothly are no longer working and we have done all we know to do, but nothing has changed that, rather than keep up the struggle, we should simply consider spending more time with God in prayer and listening to Him as He speaks to us through His Word.
In other words, when the battle continues to rage within, we will grow weary, but so long as we do not give up within, victory without is assured.
So let the knowledge that:
1) God gives power to the weak and strength, to the powerless;
2) We can replenish our strength by drawing on His strength, refocusing our faith towards victory and calling to remembrance His promises to rescue those who place their confidence in Him; and
3) When we call on Him in times of trouble, He will always be there for us (QN2:152);
Teach you, at a time like this when we are celebrating our Democracy day, while the world is overwhelmed by Covid-19, and all tools, all ideas, all powers… are Practically down, to stay focused on His Word and keep right on walking! It is well!
Pray with me: O Allah! Have mercy on us as a Nation. Make our Nation flourish with abundance of Your grace. Give us peace of mind deep within our souls, bless us with Your unshakable Love and grant that we overcome any form of weakness that may influence us to commit that which is against Your wish. Amin.
(Remember to recite Surah Al-Kahf – QN18)
