Divine Wisdom: The passage, “The seven heavens and the earth and everyone in them glorify Him. There is not a single thing that does not celebrate His praise…” Surah Al-Israa – QN17:44, reminds us of two interesting things about the Opening Prayer – Surah Al-Faatiha, it begins with the words “In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,” and ends with “Guide us on the straight path, The path of those whom You have favored; Not the path of those who earn Your anger nor of those who go astray.” because when we begin and end our prayers thinking of God, it does us twice as much good than it does to focus on anyone or anything else.
In other words, just as magnifying an object, we enlarge it so that we can see and understand it more, when we magnify Him, we enlarge our awareness of Him and get to understand Him more.
So let the knowledge that:
1) God is in charge of everything, He can do anything He wants and He is ablaze in beauty;
2) Praise belongs to Him in this world and Hereafter; His is the Judgement; and to Him shall we all be returned – QN28:70; and
3) When we magnify Him, we acknowledge His rulership over everything, including our hearts and not just for now, but forever;
Teach you, each time you worship God, to take your mind off yourself and place the emphasis entirely on Him!
Pray with me: In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, The Beneficent, the Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment, You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help. Guide us on the straight path. The path of those whom You have favored; Not the path of those who earn Your anger nor of those who go astray. Amin!
Good morning and have a splendid week!
