WHEN WE MAKE PRAYER OUR FIRST PRIORITY IN ALL THINGS AND AT ALL TIMES, IT CHANGES OUR LIVES FOR THE BETTER!

Divine Wisdom: The passage, “seek help in patience and prayer” Surah Al-Baqara – QN2:45, reminds us that, whether it is confessing a sin, praising His name, pursuing His will, interceding for a friend, or petitioning for our own needs, prayer is connecting with God. It must be God-centred, never self-centred and because sincere prayer comes from a heart that longs for Him to reveal what He desires, we must allow adequate time for listening and waiting intently before Him.

In other words, petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving must first be our priority each morning and before every major activity in the day.

So let the knowledge that:
1) Prayer is simply communicating with God and it can be spoken, silent or even expressed in Dhikr;
2) Take special note of QN2:238, the importance of the afternoon prayers; When our day is rolling along smoothly, we should interrupt it with prayer and when it starts building towards a crisis, we should deliberately stop to pray; and
3) When we make it our first priority in all things and at all times, it changes our lives for the better;
Teach you, when the call for Jumah prayer is pronounced to immediately stop whatever you are doing to pray – QN62:9; and when your attitude starts going sour, to immediately pause for an attitude adjustment prompted by prayer!

Pray with me: O Allah! I seek protection from You against the Devil. Please guard my heart towards Your remembrance always and guide me that I may be obedient to Your will, O Allah, The Most Merciful The Most Compassionate. Amin.

Good morning. Jumah Kareem and a pleasant weekend ahead!
