Divine Wisdom: The passage, “I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he calls unto Me. So let them hear My call and let them trust in Me, in order that they may be rightly guided.” Surah Al-Baqara – QN2:186, reminds those who live their lives claiming wherever the arrows of life happen to land was their destination all along that; Prophet Ibrahim (a.s)and prophet Isma-il (a.s) while building the holy Ka’-bah prayed to Allah for the successful completion of their project. They saw that Putting in their best efforts does not make there labour fruitful, because there are many unknown and uncontrollable forces working in the universe that can bring disappointment if God, who not only knows but has total control over all things and events, does not help you. Hence, We should understand that God’s blessing is not automatic, but all of our desires are within reach if only we know and obey.
In other words, the desires He placed in our spirit and goals set in His Word, though attainable, will not be fulfilled overnight.
So let the knowledge that:
1) Many of God’s blessings come with conditions;
2) Results will not appear overnight, but with time, they will come and we will see the rewards of our diligence; and
3) When we put His Word into action, we will obtain His blessing;
Teach you, giving all diligence, to add to your faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love!
Pray with me: O Allah! I thank You for helping me to know You and understanding Your words more. I pray that you tie me and my offsprings to the blessings of Prophet Ibrahim (a.s) and accept from us our services to You, surely You are the Hearing, the Knowing. Amin.
Good morning. Jumah Mufeedah and a pleasant weekend ahead!
