Divine Wisdom: The passage, “Man can have nothing but what he plans and strives for; that the fruits of his striving will soon come to sight; Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete” QN53:39-41, reminds us that, good planning and hard work lead to prosperity. So while some of us who plan our lives one day at a time, wake up, make our to-do list and dive into action, and some who even plan for one week, review calendars, check appointments, review goals and get to work; successful ones, review schedules, plan activities, review projects, lessons from experiences, other objectives and strategize for better times, for the next months.
In other words, by the time this lockdown is over, they can tell nearly everything they’ll be doing, almost by the hour, during the coming weeks and months, and would be working tirelessly towards it.
So let the knowledge that:
1) Without a plan and direction for our lives, life just happens to us;
2) To get a head start and avoid surprises, we need to spend this period of lockdown as it should be each month, with a half-day spent working on our calendars for the next weeks and months; and
3) We must block out days and times for thinking, writing, working, calling people, while locked indoors doing fun things with family and even domestic staffs;
Teach you, if the thought of making strategic planning overwhelms you, to simply ask The All-Knowing God, to show you the path to take as we plan towards a successful and hunger-free Ramadan.
Pray with me: O Allah! Help me to be responsive to Your call and directions towards a prosperous life.
Good Morning. Jumah Kareem and a Happy weekend ahead!
